Erianna Sims is a student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications. She has a passion for public speaking and purposeful storytelling. By the age of 4, Erianna began public recitations and monologues. In highschool, she excelled earning three diplomas, created the first multi-issue newspaper story on racial discrimination within her predominantly white school, and served as Indiana’s first African American region 1 state officer president for a workforce development organization, SkillsUSA. While pursuing higher education, Erianna has shared her ability to inspire and connect with others through accepting numerous invitations to speak at religious and business events.

At the center of this blog is “3rianna’s Way”, a concept that symbolizes her journey of overcoming childhood traumas, forgiveness, and moving forward without allowing the past to define her. The name “3rianna’s Way” reflects her transformation, shifting from a childhood where she had no control over her experiences, to adulthood where she chooses her own identity and creates her own path toward healing. This blog will explore her personal growth in the wake of past experiences, while also serving as a space where others can embrace their reality, feel empowered in growth, and become enlightened through similar experiences.
